Printer is certainly one of the most
important computer peripherals. Printers are required at the commercial places
as well as homes. For instance, if your kid has a project for school, he or she
may need to print it. If you are working from home you may require printer
regularly.
Brother is a very well known printer
manufacturer. The company delivers wide range of world-class printers for all
needs. It is true that they make high quality printers. However, this does not mean that their
printers cannot develop defects. Printers are a combination of digital and
mechanical components and thus they can cause problems at some point of time
during the course of use.
If you are experiencing issues with
printer, you will want it fixed immediately. You can call Brother Printer Support at all times and get your issues resolved. But, there are some issues
that can be fixed easily by you without having to call in the support team.
This can save you a lot of time. Here is some DIY troubleshooting.
Cannot
find printer
This is common issue and most of the times
it can be easily fixed. When your computer is not able to detect the printer,
you need to check if the USB cable is properly connected to the computer as
well as to the printer. Make sure that the printer is switched on (you will see
the power lights on). In order to detect the printer, you must have the printer
drivers installed. You may have received a CD or USB drive with the drivers. You
can also download the drivers for your printer model from Brother’s website. If
you have tried everything and still the printer is not getting detected, you
may need to call Brother Printer Support.
Ink
is low
If you are getting the message that the printer
ink is low or the printer is running out of ink, it means that soon you may
need to change the cartridge or get it refilled. But, you don’t need to do that
immediately after you see this alert. Your Brother printer gives this warning a
little early so that you have ample time to take the action. You can take many
printouts after the first appearance of the warning. If you think the ink level
is right (as you might have just refilled it), you may need to call the Brother
Printer Support.
Printing
process is too slow
The
printing speed depends a great deal upon the printer model and the type of
printer. Ink jet printers are usually slower than the laser printers. However,
the speed is also dependent upon the type of content you are printing and the kind
of colours it uses. For instance, printing text based content with black and
white ink will be much faster than printing a colourful photograph or
image. If you have set your printer on
‘high-quality’ printing then it will take longer. If you feel that your printer
is unnecessarily slow, it would be a good idea to call 1-888-827-9060 Brother support.
